The Maxwells, former long-time patrons of the Honolulu
Restaurant, remodeled a part of their home to look just like the restaurant
known
to them as Honolulu II. The project took almost two years to complete
and it was well worth the wait. They dedicated all their free time to
this project and also recruited their closest friends, who were very excited
to be a part of it. Honolulu II is decorated with the actual
dining booths, chairs, décor and even David's bar, which the Maxwells
won during the restaurant auction in March 2004.
David and Anna were invited to a private unveiling party and were astonished
how Honolulu II so closely resembled the Honolulu Restaurant. David
looked very comfortable as he stood behind his old bar and mixed a few
of his signature Mai Tais for the guests. Don't run to the Honolulu
II for David's Mai Tais...it is not open to the public!!
